Vacation Rentals in Cartagena

"Palenquera" strolling the streets of the Walled City photo by Sangroncito

Cartagena de Indias — known for its colonial architecture, streets steeped in history, friendly people, Caribbean heat, beautiful islands, and more. The old walled city is an area roughly 3 miles around and is what draws many visitors here. The 17th and 18th century walls encircle the UNESCO World Heritage site of narrow streets, busy with “Cartageneros” going about their daily lives, artists displaying their work, street vendors (hawking anything from hats to hot coffee to cell phone minutes to brooms!), “Palenqueras” balancing large bowls of fruit on their heads, horse drawn carriages, and more. It is a magical place!

At Vacation Rentals in Cartagena, we offer comfortable, well appointed apartments located in the San Diego section of the walled city as well as an apartment just outside the city wall in the historic Cabrero section. Single travelers, couples, and friend/family groups of up to 12 people can be accommodated.

Starting early fall 2016, we will have finished renovations on additional old city apartments, called Balcones (“Balconies”), which all together will accommodate parties up to 26 total guests!

For information on accommodations in the Old City, please choose Moneda Apartments. These apartments are mainly for short stays ranging from 3 days to perhaps a week or two.

Starting late summer/early fall 2016, we will also offer Old City short stay apartments in Balcones, on the corner of Calle de la Moneda and Calle Segundo de Badillo.

For information on a modern beachfront two bedroom apartment with pool access just outside the Old City, please choose Casa Barbara. This apartment is for stays of a month or longer; it is currently available June to September/October 2016.
