Built in 2011, Edificio Zafiro has a 7th floor pool, jacuzzi, sauna & social area, 24 hour reception, kids’ playground, & two elevators; please see photos below.

The building is located in the Cabrero neighborhood which is quiet & mainly residential, but with a couple of eateries, shops & other businesses in the area. The historic Rafael Nuñez House and Apollo Park with chapel are a short walk away Cartagena’s beautiful Old City just a bit farther along. The Cartagena airport is 3.5 kilometers north, a quick 10 minute cab ride.

The beach is across the street and it’s popular among Cartageneros, especially on the weekends. The city began work in 2025 on the “Gran Malecon del Mar” project, which will protect the coast and bring pedestrian walkways, cycling routes, larger beach areas, and more, right in this area.
